Chase Berenson

Chase Berenson is an expert in business process development and organizational change management. His expertise includes business process assessment, audit, and design; policy and fee redesign; staffing plan development; and training program development. He strongly believes that even when the hardware and software are a perfect fit for a utility, the secret of success still lies in the people who make up the organization. By planning for and managing change, utilities will maximize their success in technology implementations.

Sara Patnaude

Sara Patnaude is responsible for the E Source blog, case studies, and all other marketing collateral. Prior to joining E Source, Sara was the content and event specialist for Energy Federation Inc. (EFI) where she led the strategy for the blog, social media, and collateral. She also planned logistics for EFI’s presence at all conferences and events. Sara graduated from Framingham State University in Massachusetts with a BA in English and communications.

Vince Ruggeri

Vince Ruggeri is a research analyst on the Customer Energy Solutions team with a focus on helping utilities design trade ally networks, programs for small and midsize businesses, and programs to help low- and moderate-income customers. Before joining E Source, Vince was an energy advisor who helped implement multifamily and commercial and industrial (C&I) programs for utilities in Pennsylvania and Colorado. He earned a BS in natural resource economics with minors in sustainability and watershed management from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Ben Nathan

Ben Nathan provides research and advisement to utilities and cities on energy equity, demand-side management, and distributed energy resource strategy. Before he joined E Source, Ben worked at the US Department of Energy and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where he helped states, local governments, and public utilities with their energy planning and management. He received a BA in geography from the George Washington University and an MA in city planning from the University of Pennsylvania.

Paige Martin Cox

Paige Martin Cox brings the voice of the customer, employee, and utility to in-house research experts and E Source members. She specializes in the Claritas Energy Behavior Track Study, the E Source Residential Customer Electrification Survey, the E Source Canadian Residential Customer Insights Survey, and the E Source Utility Employee Experience Survey. Beyond these surveys, her expertise includes survey design and sampling, quantitative research, statistical data analysis, and segmentation.

Will Gifford

As the data science director for E Source Oneinform, Will Gifford helps people turn customer analytics into tools. He joined E Source through the TROVE acquisition in 2020. For over 15 years before that he applied statistical and machine learning models to complex problems in the energy industry, helping utilities use the data that’s available to them. Prior to joining TROVE, Will worked at KEMA, which later became DNV GL, and he started his career at the Energy Information Administration.

Kim Neininger

Kim Neininger is an expert in helping businesses change. At E Source, she helps utilities with their digital business transformation business objectives related to advanced metering infrastructure, enterprise asset management, customer information, and geographical information systems. Kim uses Prosci change-management methodology, strategic alignment tools, and design workshops to help customers get results.

Miriam Stein

Miriam Stein answers Ask E Source questions and writes reports on marketing and communications topics. She specializes in helping utilities make energy and efficiency affordable and accessible to all customers. Before starting the analyst position, Miriam interned with the Customer Energy Solutions and Market Research teams at E Source. Miriam also worked in a physics lab researching a potential new battery material. She has a BS in physics with an art history minor from Swarthmore.

Gareth Thompson

With 20 years of experience in software engineering and system integration, Gareth Thompson specializes in developing and delivering integrated solutions for electric, gas and water utilities. He has expertise in systems integration; performance testing; and business intelligence analytics for advanced meter infrastructure (AMI), Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS), and Geographical Information Systems (GIS).
