Parvathi Murali

Parvathi Murali is a senior associate and subject-matter expert in information systems and systems integration with E Source’s technology planning and implementation consulting division. She’s based in Calgary, Alberta, and has a background in software implementation, business intelligence, data analysis, and project management. Parvathi has more than eight years of technical experience with custom software applications and out-of-the-box implementations.

Kara Truschel

Kara Truschel is a senior manager with E Source’s technology planning and implementation consulting division, based in the Washington, DC, metro area. Kara has over 10 years’ experience that spans strategy consulting, change management, software implementation, business intelligence, data analysis, and project management. She’s a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has led projects and business-development activities for clients across the utilities, manufacturing, and local and federal government sectors.

Nicole Pennington

Nicole Pennington is a senior manager for E Source’s technology planning and implementation consulting division, based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has more than a decade of direct experience working with utilities and municipalities. Nicole specializes in project management, public relations and communications, procurement, and assessments. She focuses on disruptive technology programs, including advanced metering, smart energy, smart water, and smart cities. Additionally, Nicole serves as the division’s marketing director.

Dale Pennington

Dale Pennington has more than 35 years of experience working with utilities to deploy smart systems and integrated solutions. By using proven workflow and asset-management techniques that he has mastered over the course of his career, Dale helps clients maximize the value of their technology investments. He’s widely recognized as an expert in advanced metering infrastructure, smart grid, smart water, smart gas, and smart cities, routinely presenting at industry events and being featured in publications.

Kody Salem

Kody Salem provides outstanding support for utility technology initiatives such as smart grid and advanced metering infrastructure (AMI), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and outage management systems. Specifically, he leads all business development and partnering efforts for E Source’s technology planning and implementation consulting division. In previous roles, Kody managed the consulting team, matching clients’ needs with best-fit talent. And he provides his own subject-matter expertise for client engagements.

Nicole Naassan

Nicole Naassan manages the fulfillment of E Source’s technology planning and implementation client project portfolio with a seasoned team of project managers and subject-matter experts. She has nearly 30 years of experience in the utility sector and specializes in operations and project management as well as utility systems deployment and integration. Previously, Nicole was the operations director for Constellation New Energy where she managed the operations and billing staff, realizing over $1 billion in revenue annually.

Laura Beausire

Laura Beausire works with E Source’s industry experts to write their research into reports. Before she joined E Source, Laura was a freelance contributor to a range of local, national, and international publications. She holds a BA in art history from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and an MA in art history with a certificate in museum studies from Boston University.

Miles Hayes

Miles Hayes researches energy-efficient technologies and specializes in HVAC equipment and systems. Before joining E Source, he worked as a research engineer with the Building Energy Sciences Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In that role, he provided technical engineering support on projects related to commercial building HVAC, energy storage, and rooftop unit efficiency.

Tom Martin

Tom Martin leads the data science team and is a key partner to our clients in demonstrating how data science solutions can help solve their challenges. Prior to this role, he served as managing director of data science at TROVE, and he led the implementation of new technology and analytics at PG&E to reduce the company’s operational costs, improve safety, and increase grid reliability.

Amy Esensten

Amy Esensten leads the strategy of the E Source Customer Experience Strategy, E-Channel, Contact Center Optimization, and Account Management Services. She’s responsible for understanding our customer’s needs and making sure our research helps them exceed their customer experience (CX) goals. Prior to joining E Source, Amy led CX efforts at organizations, including SunRun Inc. where she managed SunRun’s call centers, field service dispatching, and solar photovoltaic monitoring teams.
