Cathy Lurie

Cathy Lurie is laser-focused on customer success and helps utilities meet their goals by sharing research insights and innovative industry tips. Her diverse experience comes from over a decade in marketing, account management, and consulting with utilities as well as Fortune 500 companies. Cathy has a BA from the University of Colorado and has earned awards and accolades in innovative marketing design, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.

Rachel Leo

Rachel Leo researches heating, ventilation, and air conditioners. Before joining E Source, she worked for a steel fabricator as an estimator where she bid on commercial buildings. Prior to that, she worked at a solar thermal company as a solar energy engineer where she installed and maintained residential and commercial solar thermal systems. Rachel holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in energy engineering.

Zach Ahlers

Zach Ahlers manages data production for the E Source Measure Insights tool, a repository of technical reference manuals. He also assists with research for the Customer Energy Solutions team. Before working at E Source, Zach did social media analytics, model validation, and audience creation for Wiland. He graduated from Regis University with degrees in mathematics and computational physics before getting a masters in statistics from Kansas State University.

Isabel Szendrey

Isabel Szendrey helps water utilities understand and manage their water losses. Since 2008, she has been involved in the planning, development, and analysis of cost-effective nonrevenue water reduction strategies considering operational feasibility. Prior to joining WSO, which E Source acquired in 2021, Isabel served as executive adviser to the executive president of the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority. She earned a BS in civil engineering and an MSE in environmental processes engineering from Johns Hopkins University.

Jessica Jagdeo

Jessica Jagdeo assists in the analysis and management of water loss projects in collaboration with water utilities. She joined E Source through the acquisition of Water Systems Optimization (WSO) in 2021. Prior to joining WSO, Jessica obtained a master’s degree in environmental science and management from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also holds a BS in geology from the University of Florida.

Kate Gasner

As vice president of the Water Loss Consulting group, Kate Gasner works on the full spectrum of water loss projects and is fluent in water audit preparation, component analysis of water losses, meter testing, and flow and pressure data analysis. As coauthor of two major Water Research Foundation projects, Kate supported the development of the leakage component analysis model and designed Level 1 validation standards of care for water audit review.

Kevin Burgers

Kevin Burgers is responsible for completing field work and supporting several types of nonrevenue water management projects. Kevin has 10 years of experience testing and analyzing water distribution systems with an emphasis on production meter accuracy testing. He’s a licensed professional engineer and holds a BS in civil engineering from the University of Washington.

Kim Manago

Kim Manago helps water agencies estimate, understand, and optimize their water loss through data analysis and improvement, field activities, and water loss control strategy development. She works on all aspects of water loss projects, but she specializes in regional program development and agencies managing multiple water systems. She joined E Source through the Water Systems Optimization (WSO) acquisition in 2021.

Madeline E. Gorchels

Madeline E. Gorchels assists in analysis and management of water loss projects with water utilities. Before joining E Source through its acquisition of Water Systems Optimization in 2021, Madeline worked in stormwater management at local governments and nonprofits. She holds a master of environmental science and management degree from the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and a BA in biological sciences from Wellesley College.

Maher Lugo

Maher Lugo is a consultant, water audit validator, geographic information system (GIS) specialist, and project manager. He has more than 17 years of experience working with water utilities. Prior to joining E Source through its acquisition of Water Systems Optimization in 2021, Maher served as technical adviser with the Puerto Rico Aqueduct and Sewer Authority where he developed strategies for reducing water losses with the intention of increasing revenue and reducing operating expenses.
