Steve Bishop

Steve Bishop believes design thinking can unlock growth potential in any business. As head of Design, Partnerships at Automatic, he helped strengthen the company’s user-centered, design-led approach to address opportunities in transportation, focusing on making driving a better, more sustainable experience for car owners and industry partners alike. Prior to Automatic, he was Director at IDEO, where he built a portfolio of work in energy, transportation, and the built environment industries.

Christina Bryson

Christina Bryson is responsible for editing, publishing, and managing content on the E Source website. Topically, she works mostly on bringing customer experience and marketing reports to life, along with E Source’s monthly newsletter, E News. Christina also manages E Source’s in-house style guide resources. Before joining E Source, Christina was a student at Allegheny College where she earned her BA in English, while simultaneously studying journalism and political science. Christina is a proud member of ACES: The Society for Editing.

Liza Minor

Liza Minor began working as a staff writer in the summer of 2020. Previously, she used E Source tools and databases to identify trends in demand-side management programs. Before coming to E Source, Liza worked at Wisconsin Energy Conservation Corp., where she used geographic information systems to segment customers for energy-efficiency programs. Because of her multidisciplinary studies in school and her experience in the energy industry, she can write about a variety of energy topics.

Laura Ruff Agard

Laura Ruff Agard specializes in collecting and analyzing data on distributed energy resources (DERs). In her role at E Source, she conducts voice-of-the-utility and voice-of-the-customer surveys, and then analyzes the data using SPSS and Excel. Using the data from the surveys, Laura writes and creates reports and graphics. Her goal as a market research analyst is to pull together the information utilities need to improve their DER programs and marketing efforts and to help them make a business case for new DER initiatives.

Mason Henderson

Mason Henderson serves as a primary point of contact for utility customers, acting as a concierge into E Source products, services, research, tools, and consulting. His background ranges from nonprofit management to working as a geophysics consultant for the US Department of Energy. Prior to joining E Source, Mason worked for Tendril, where his projects focused on conducting consumer experience research to optimize the way utilities engage their audiences. He holds a BS in geosciences from Virginia Tech and an MBA in marketing and sustainability from Leeds School of Business.

Abbas Madad

Abbas Madad designs and implements market research studies and analyzes results with an eye toward a meaningful interpretation of the data. He focuses on issues related to customer experience and energy efficiency, specifically for a residential domain. Abbas has more than six years of experience in survey research. Prior to joining E Source, he conducted market research within the CPG, banking, and telecom industries for a renowned multinational market research company, working closely with clients from the private sectors.

Andrea Salazar

Andrea Salazar began her career in the energy industry as a project manager for a photovoltaic installation company. When she first joined E Source in 2010, she focused on researching energy-efficient technologies as well as programs and policies. After four years, she joined the Engineering & Technology Solutions Practice at EMI Consulting, where she managed impact evaluations, conducted engineering desk reviews and technology assessments, and provided technical guidance and consulting to numerous utility clients.

Cory Coggins

As a member of the market research team, Cory Coggins focuses on collecting and analyzing data related to customer satisfaction, marketing, and customer experience. Prior to joining E Source, Cory got his foundation in reporting and analysis working at an advertising agency where he helped clients to optimize their digital media efforts. He received a BS in psychology with a minor in marketing from Central Michigan University.

Filomena Gogel

Filomena (Fil) Gogel leads the management consulting division at E Source. Fil’s experience ranges from leading complete turnarounds of customer services operations to customer experience (CX) consulting. Prior to joining E Source, Fil held leadership roles at Public Service Electric & Gas (PSE&G) and Pacific Gas and Electric Co. (PG&E). She led the transformation of call center operations at both utilities; her changes resulted in top-quartile performance in cost and service quality.

Daniel Molvik

Daniel Molvik, a senior consultant with the E Source Consulting and Advisory Services, specializes in customer experience and market research for the utility industry. Daniel has more than 13 years of energy industry experience over a range of operational and research roles and extensive knowledge of qualitative and mixed-methods research designs, demand-side management (DSM) program design and evaluation, and customer and trade ally engagement. He also has experience in conducting ethnographic interviews, facilitating focus groups, and leading customer experience studies.
