Miles Hayes researches energy-efficient technologies and specializes in HVAC equipment and systems. Before joining E Source, he worked as a research engineer with the Building Energy Sciences Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In that role, he provided technical engineering support on projects related to commercial building HVAC, energy storage, and rooftop unit efficiency. Miles also worked as a consultant with CLEAResult, supporting commercial and industrial utility programs with ASHRAE audits, energy models, measurement and verification, and technical reference manual development. He has a BS in mechanical engineering from Iowa State University.
