Sannie Sieper

Sannie Sieper is responsible for leading the marketing, event, and member communications for E Source. She is passionate about marketing automation technologies, getting the right message to the right audience at the right time, and using data to make informed decisions. She has more than 20 years of marketing experience in a variety of industries, including hospitality, publishing, and retail e-commerce. Sannie holds an MBA from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and a BS from Colgate University.

Michael Shepard

Michael Shepard, a cofounder of the company, is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction. He speaks frequently at industry events and has published more than 100 papers and books on topics such as reinvention of the utility business model, ultra-efficient drivepower and lighting systems, innovative financing schemes for energy conservation, and profitable strategies for companies to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

Alanya Schofield

Alanya oversees the E Source subscription products and is responsible for the delivery team’s strategic direction. She also manages the company’s mergers and acquisitions. In past roles, she developed new products including the E Source Distributed Energy Resource Strategy Service, which she ran for two years. Before joining E Source, Alanya worked at several companies in the energy industry, including Duke Energy, where she was the director of Strategy, Communications, and Continuous Improvement in the Emerging Technology Office.

Keenan Samuelson

Keenan Samuelson focuses on strategies to enhance the utility customer experience. He spends the majority of his time researching how to optimize digital customer journeys and improve the billing and payment experience. Prior to joining E Source, Keenan collected and analyzed customer feedback for Colorado Springs Utilities, where he also led project teams in developing customer self-service solutions. He holds a BS in marketing with a minor in sustainable development from the University of Colorado.

Katie Ryder

Katie Ryder is an expert in utility operations, particularly when it comes to demand-side management (DSM). Katie has worked as a consultant in the energy sector for more than nine years. In her time with E Source, she has written multiple reports, conducted one-on-one interviews with utilities, and led web conferences on various topics.

Katie Ruiz

Katie Ruiz helps customers use E Source content to meet their goals in demand-side management, distributed energy resources, and electrification. She gives nearly 100 utilities across the US and Canada guidance on industry trends and best practices. In the past, Katie managed sales and customer success efforts in the Eastern US and Eastern Canada, working closely with utility leaders and executives.

Maureen Russolo

Maureen Russolo draws on her expertise and passion to develop and oversee the delivery of a variety of E Source membership, consulting, and tool solutions in the areas of customer-side management, customer experience, customer journey-mapping, change management, and contact center and self-service enhancements. She is a knowledgeable and highly experienced professional in the energy industry, insurance industry, and consulting practices in these areas as well as in customer relations and strategic planning.

Julie Rowey

Julie Rowey is a managing director with E Source Consulting and Advisory Services. She has more than 15 years of experience in the utility industry and more than 25 years in developing national brands for the media, high-tech, financial-services, and energy industries. Before joining E Source, Julie served as vice president of marketing for Summit Utilities, where she built the company brand and was responsible for the marketing and sales operation that doubled company growth over three years.

Aleana Reeves

Aleana Reeves leads a team of industry experts and engagement managers who help E Source members succeed. She ensures that we align our product efforts with customers’ most pressing needs while improving their satisfaction. Before joining E Source, Aleana was a consultant at Accenture and 170 Systems (now Kofax). She has an MBA from the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business. She also holds a BA in economics from Brown University..
