This was a frustrating experience because when I said payment and billing programs, I was taken to the payment menu and couldn't get out of it. I wanted to learn what programs were available, not pay my bill. When I couldn't go back, I had to hang up and call again. This time I tried just billing programs and was taken to a menu where I could enroll in budget billing, which is partially what I wanted, but wanted to learn more options so I selected 'something else'.

The IVR automatically assumes you want to pay your bill if you say the word payment. There are lots of reasons you'd use that word without actually wanting to pay your bill so the IVR doesn't seem very smart. However, once I said billing programs, I was taken to the correct menu and was transferred to a CSR who could help me.
