It was really quick and easy to find and log into my account. I Googled the utility and clicked on "My Account" at the top of the utility's home page, although it would've been nice if the "My Account" option was listed under the Pedernales Electric URL on Google, like billing and payments or outage. Once logged in, the home page offers a lot of different things to do with quick links on the left and dropdown menus at the top. There's quick ways to pay a bill or submit an outage. It's also fairly quick to find out what I owe.

The my account page is like a portal to everything else. The links work as expected and everything is quick to load. I like that when you hover over the drop down menus at the top that the menu pops up and you don't have to actually click to get the menu to show up. It makes it really easy to see what's in each menu without having to click around. One thing that was odd were all the "get help" buttons which all do the same thing. It just pops out a definition or explanation of the my account home page. There's no contact information or way to submit a question. It doesn't help in the way I expected it would.

While there is a lot going on at the my account home page, I like that the quick pay button and submit an outage/inquiry button made obvious in the upper right with big green buttons. I also like that the banner with dropdown menus is easy to see. It's helpful to put borders around the quick links and the other big sections on the home page.

I didn't understand why the outage center quick link was further down and in a different box than the link for submitting an outage/inquiry. I also found it odd that my account overview wasn't at the top and instead there was information about improved management tools, an announcement about a PEC Board Workshop and information about a community solar application. Otherwise, everything I can think of needing to do is available through this home page. Headings and links made sense for the most part and led to the information I expected.
