When selecting the "Billing and Payment" option directly from Google, then selecting "Pay Now Online," it takes you to a login page that asks for the account number and your last name or business name to login. I found this confusing as I felt it should default to the customer username and password to login. I personally would not have my utility account number memorized and would find it much easier to login via email and a likely memorized password. To get around this I had to select the "My Account" option through the menu at the top and login using the email and password. Once logged in it was easy to simply scroll down and locate the "Make a Payment" button on the screen, or also access the "Pay my bill" option lower down the page via quick links. Overall, it was easy to find the "Pay my bill" option once logged in, but it would have been nice if the login was more streamlined and defaulted to email and password to login, rather than different options that might involve entering your account number and last name. 220308 Functionality rating 3 Once you are logged in, it was somewhat easy to locate the pay my bill option by simply scrolling down on the page and there was a call out button stating "Make a payment," or the task can be accessed via the "Pay my bill" quick links located further down the page. I would prefer to see the Account Overview that gives the pay my bill option as the first item displayed at the top of the page. The first items you see when logging in are "Communication/Alerts" and "View and Manage My Usage". Although these contain important information, I feel most customers would want to see their account information first, since it is directly related to the amount they owe and then see the communications and alerts, and managing usage below the account overview. 220308 Appearance rating 2 I would not describe the appearance as great. Once you navigate to the pay my bill page, the option to make a payment was cut off and you have to scroll sideways to select the amount you want to pay, or to select paying total amount, or other amount. Additionally, the customer name was all jumbled in a block on the top left corner and should be spelled out in an easier to read format. Although the appearance was straightforward and not overly complex, which was nice for mobile, it could use some updates where the account name reads easier and the relevant information is available while scrolling up and down on the app, not sideways. 220308 Relevance rating 3 The content was relevant to being able to complete the task of paying your bill. I like that the "Pay now" option was called out right away with a big green button that was easy to locate and move forward with completing the task. I also like that it showed the next auto payment date and amount,. However, as "Make a payment" option really needs to be formatted better in mobile so that all the relevant information a customer needs to pay their bill is right on the screen without having to scroll sideways for pay my bill options. 220308 You want to pay your current bill.
