This IVR requires authentication early. It seemed a logical way to proceed and I wasn't put-off or frustrated by entering this information up-front. Once the account info was entered I was asked to provide other confirmation information and allowed to progress. Even though this was a voice activated IVR with account confirmation information requested before menu options were provided, it made sense to me and I was able to proceed without confusion or trepidation reinforcing confidence my issue would be handled appropriately. No option for 'checking the status of my service request' was provided and so, as prompted, I told the IVR what I was looking for and was then transferred to a Customer Service rep.
