Nick Lenssen focuses on strategic, technology, and market issues for disruptive energy technologies, particularly renewable energy and distributed energy. In 1997, he was founding director of the E Source Distributed Energy Service. Nick has contributed to dozens of consulting engagements focused on markets for novel technologies, including combined heat and power, fuel cells, wind energy, and solar photovoltaics, both at E Source and at EPRI Solutions Inc. More recently, he directed North American market intelligence for the Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas. Nick is coauthor of Power Surge: Guide to the Coming Energy Revolution, which envisions a future energy economy that operates primarily on modular renewable and distributed energy technologies. He holds an AB in geography from Dartmouth College.
