Michael James Colby provides research, analysis, and consultation to members on policy and program issues related to energy efficiency, demand response, and distributed generation. Through his previous work at San Diego Gas & Electric, Michael managed energy-efficiency, demand-response, and renewable (photovoltaic) programs primarily in the residential new construction sector. He also has experience in the area of load forecasting, with a strong background in incorporating DSM and electric vehicles into forecasts. Michael earned an MA in economics from San Diego State University and a BA in economics with a minor in urban studies from San Francisco State University.
