Mary Horsey manages the company's portfolio of technology research and best practices, providing members with relevant and timely information on energy-efficiency technologies across all sectors. She develops the strategic research vision for the practice and leads a team of engineers who conduct research on emerging and under-utilized energy-efficiency technologies, ranging from HVAC and building controls to data analytics, electronics, lighting, energy storage, distributed energy resources, and electric vehicles. Mary brings to the company more than 12 years of professional experience as an energy engineer and energy manager at large institutions, including Georgetown University and Boulder County, Colorado. Her deep industry knowledge and hands-on experience enable her to view technologies from both the customer and utility perspectives. A Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Mary holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Colorado State University and a BA in liberal arts from St. John’s College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is also a LEED Certified Accredited Professional (LEED AP).
