Kate Merson leads the E Source research team to provide research, analysis, and consultation to members on DSM policy and program issues. A researcher herself, her specific areas of expertise include design, implementation, and evaluation of low-income, multifamily, and small business programs. Through her previous work at the Colorado Governor’s Energy Office, Kate had direct experience managing energy-efficiency and utility DSM programs for low-income customers. Combined, she has more than eight years of experience in DSM. Kate earned an MA from the University of Denver in international political economy with a focus on energy, development, and economics. She also has a BA in public relations and marketing from Ithaca College.
